Trend watch: can’t get enough copper

Rose gold is taking a backseat this year it would appear…. So which metallic is the trend setter this year? Who’s the new metallic in town?

Well, for 2019, it’s all about the copper.

We love copper and how easily it pairs with just about anything. You can incorporate copper in a plethora of ways, too. From tabletop items like cups, chargers, flatware, etc., to seating assignments, to table numbers, to invitations to bridesmaids and groomsmen attire. The options are really endless.

Need some examples? Here are a few images below of weddings and events we were a part of that incorporated copper into their decor. Check it out:

E.B. Creative created the signage for this event. We love how  the event planner, Tracy Collins Events, used copper as an accent throughout the event decor. Want to show your guests their bar options in a creative way? Stamp it on a piece of copper or on a piece of lucite hanging from a copper structure!

Here, the designers, High Beam, opted for a copper linen to pull in their copper inspiration. They paired it with gold accents in the flatware, painted pomegranate and the beveled glass. Using copper for your linen allows you to pull other metallics into the tabletop decor, if you so choose.

Here, a darker copper was used as an accent to give more of an earthy feel than a bright metallic pop like we so often see with a true copper. We love this look. It is warm and inviting and the copper accent really seals the deal.

For this design, Bella Events opted for deeper copper inspiration as well. The copper rope flatware, paired with the iridescent copper crush napkin add the “copper feels” and contrast the bright, fall florals. What do you think of this set up? We’re pretty obsessed.

So as you can see, there are a ton of ways to incorporate copper into your decor, and these examples are only the start! We have more inspiration for you over on our Pinterest page, so give us a follow and check it out!
