Valentine’s Day Inspiration

Can you believe Valentine’s Day is this Thursday!? (You’re welcome for the reminder if it somehow slipped your mind.) It feels like it was just yesterday we were sharing our Christmas table inspiration with you… Now here we are, almost halfway through February!

Because Valentine’s day is three days away, we thought we’d take this time to share a little V-Day table inspiration for you, in case you’re spending this week scrambling to come up with ways to make it special. We’ll even help you with what to do… A romantic dinner home-cooked by you (or carried out by you if you’re not an expert in the kitchen… we’re not here to judge or critique). How perfect does that sound?

So now that we’ve given you an idea of how to spend your evening with your honey, we’ll jump right into the table decor. We put a classic, romantic, red and pink Valentine’s Day themed table together for you guys to give you a little inspiration and get those table decorating juices flowing. Check out pictures below of our Valentine’s Day themed table:

For our Valentine’s Day table, we started with our burgundy penne velvet linen. The velvet really softened up the table and made it all the more romantic. Plus, have you heard? Velvet is SO IN right now. We used a blush pink matte satin napkin at each place setting to help in giving the table that classic red and pink Valentine’s Day look.

We decided on the white wash French Country chairs for our guest seating. We love how the white compliments the china, and how the white-wash pattern of the chairs picks up some of the pink tints in the tabletop items.

For each of our place settings, we used the rose gold lucca flatware, the blush beaded glass charger (which is new and we LOVE it- what do you think?), the ivory linen heirloom dinner plate and the Tara coupe salad plate. The floral pattern of the Tara plate adds a little additional femininity to the table and the blush and rose gold details continue the classic red and pink look, with a modern twist.

We completed the tabletop look with crystal glasses that added to the classic and romantic theme of the table. We used both the stemmed Portico Crystal iced tea glass and the Melodia Crystal beverage glass. We love how these glasses add a classic, almost vintage look to the overall look of the table.

We also added a little extra sweetness to each place setting by including a Valentine’s Day themed cookie. Each place setting got a different design to keep it interesting and give the table a little mix and match feel.

We opted for a classic centerpiece with pink roses to pick up the pink tones of the chargers, napkins and cookies.
