Bringing a New Level of Luxury to Austin Area Events

 The Austin / Central Texas Event Rental market has just been elevated to a new level of luxury. Premiere Select, Distinctive Event Décor and Design, has opened a new event design gallery located at Gabriel’s Court in Central Austin. Housed in the former Shoal Creek Gallery at 2905 San Gabriel, Premiere Select will work with Industry Professionals and Individuals planning high-end weddings, celebrating other social occasions and holding key corporate events.

Delores Crum, Premiere Select President, says that opulence is “in”. Today’s events, especially those that are staged for high end clientele,” she says, “are all about glitz and glamour”. In addition to fine china, glassware, flatware and linens, Premiere Select’s Gallery presents lavish floral artistry (from The Flower Studio, Flora Fetish and Brenda Abbott Floral Design) that reflects the luxury event movement.

“We believe”, says Kenneth Sharples, Premiere Select’s Creative Director, “that there’s a luxury gap in Austin and Central Texas events that Premiere Select can fill.” Sharples, who has designed the Premiere Select gallery, adds that every Premiere Select offering has been carefully chosen to provide high-end rental, décor and design alternatives that have previously only been available in Houston, Dallas or even out of state. “Our goal at Premiere Select”, says Sharples, “is to present area event professionals and event holders with luxury décor and design options that marry contemporary products with timeless elegance.”

In addition to offering a new level of rental, design and décor sophistication, Premiere Select promises an unprecedented level of service. “The Premiere Select Shopping Experience will be incomparable”, says Crum. “Our companies, Premiere Party Central and Premiere Tents and Events, have always been noted for outstanding customer support, but this venture demonstrates the ultimate in customer care.”

Beginning Tuesday, July 16^th, Premiere Select’s Gallery will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM. Appointments are preferred, but not required, during the gallery’s hours of operation. The 52nd annual Rental Show was held February 9th – 13th at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. Premiere staff attended “Events and Tents”, which opened the show on Saturday, February 9th. Our day began with a linen fabric show, featuring materials from five ARA Vendor members. The designs were completed by fashion students of the Las Vegas Art and Design school. The runway style show was a huge hit ! The day continued with education and training, highlighted by a luncheon with Sasha Souza, who also presented a “colorful” discussion on Saturday afternoon. The afternoon session featured four Sasha-designed tables, along with slides and videos from Sasha’s signature events. One of the key points in her presentation was Attention To Detail from both a Design and Execution standpoint. 

Sunday at the show featured educational sessions related to sales and marketing, customer service and customer relationships, team building and leadership and business finance. The Premiere team heard entertaining and insightful sessions on these topics, and will be bringing the pearls of wisdom to the Premiere Team. On Monday, Captain Mark Kelly, Astronaut and husband of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, presented the keynote address. Captain Kelly spoke about perseverance and determination, and the importance of setting goals and overcoming obstacles on the road to success. The Trade Show floor opened just following Captain Kelly’s address. For the most part, the items on display were items already featured in Premiere’s inventory . . . there were very few new products, but we did make a few “finds”. We purchased a new china pattern, and will present our newest family of dinnerware at Premiere Settings in March. We also found some gorgeous new glassware, and purchased limited supplies of this product to test the market. These selections will also be on display at Premiere Settings designer event next month. There are a few new selections in lounge furniture and seating, and we will look at acquiring these items and expanding our offerings later this year. All-In-All, it was an educational and enjoyable few days in The City that Never Sleeps.
